About Ardclough Village Centre

The Ardclough Village Centre is a multicultural exhibition and events centre, located in a lush rural area of Kildare, nestling on the banks of the Grand Canal. "Arthur Guinness" the centrepiece of our heritage — grew up in Kildare, buried at Oughterard, his story told in "From Malt to Vault." with Interactive touchscreens, display boards, a holographic projection and a short film bring the tale to life, with guided tours available throughout the week. It features a Café, hosts different exhibitions, speaker series and social events. It is a not-for-profit community centre that brings culture to rural Ireland.

Where the Guinness Story Begins

Long before St. James's Gate, Arthur Guinness belonged to Kildare. Ardclough Village Centre is where that story is told in full — from his early life to his resting place at Oughterard, just up the road.
